Must have expert level knowledge and experience in the deployment and maintenance of network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRF

- Expert knowledge in designing, implementing and supporting switched networks, including (VTP, STP, HSRP, trunking, VLANs, port security and monitoring) in a multi-vendor environment
- Requires an in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and communication protocols in LAN /  WAN environments.
- Must be experienced in the troubleshooting of complex multi-vendor network service provider issues
- Develop and write recommendations for departmental policies, procedures, technical standards and guidelines.
- 6-10 years in-depth experience working with Cisco routers, switches.
- Cisco 7600/6500 series routers. Juniper M and T series routers
- Data Center architecture and network design

One or more of the following certifications is strongly preferred:

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
- Juniper Networks Certified Internetwork Associate (JNCIA)
- Juniper Networks Certified Internetwork Specialist (JNCIS)
- Juniper Networks Certified Internetwork Professional (JNCIP)
- Juniper Networks Certified Internetwork Expert (JNCIE)
