Responsible for providing UMTS-RNC expertise. Duties include provision of technical support of Ericsson UMTS network. Technical support includes providing expertise in Ericsson RNC health check, parameter audit and consistency check. RNC 3810 / NodeB RBS3000 series alarm troubleshooting and clearing. Duties also include T1 expansion for voice and data augment, creation of T1 cross-connects in the Alcatel DACS, definition of UTRAN and IRAT relations, create moshell and xml scripts for parameter modification, support RF team for cell parameter changes to optimize network performance, correct inconsistencies in the Ericsson RAN network. Provide support for GSM-BSS for 2G/3G RBS on the BSC.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Telecommunications Engineering or related field such as Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications Technology. A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in UMTS Switch engineering or in Optimization Engineering. Requires experience/knowledge in GSM/UMTS technology platforms; Antenna systems, use of various telecommunications field test equipment such as TEMS, Protocol and Frequency Spectrum Analyzer, Site Master and T1 tester. Extensive travel.
